Calhoun, GA — The City of Calhoun has announced temporary road closures beginning Friday at 2 p.m. as preparations ramp up for the highly anticipated Summer in the City Block Party.
South Park Avenue—from Court Street to Oothcalooga Street—along with the adjacent municipal parking lot, will be closed to all traffic starting Friday afternoon. Officials are urging motorists to move their vehicles from the affected areas before the 2 p.m. deadline to avoid towing and ensure a smooth setup for the event.
Residents and visitors are also reminded to respect all traffic cones and barriers. “If you see a line of cones, that means do not enter,” officials stated. “They’re in place for everyone’s safety.”
The City expressed appreciation for the community’s cooperation and encouraged everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities.
