🔹 Tax Assessment Appeals Deadline Approaching
Gordon County property owners have until August 1 to file appeals on their 2025 tax assessments. The process can be started online at gordoncountyga.org. For questions or assistance, contact Gordon County Tax Assessor Ashley Bailey at 706.629.*.
🔹 Traffic Alert
A serious single-vehicle accident occurred earlier today at the intersection of Boone Ford Road and Lovers Lane Road. First responders were on the scene, and the roadway was temporarily blocked. Please use caution and seek alternate routes if you’re traveling in that area.
🔹 Fourth of July Celebration at the Fairgrounds
Gordon County is set to celebrate in style today at the Cherokee Capital Fairgrounds. Festivities kick off at 2:00 PM, with food, fun, and family activities. Fireworks will begin after dark, so bring a blanket and enjoy the show!
🔹 District Attorney Visits Georgia 101.7
District Attorney Earl Newton joined Giles Jones — our very own “Attorney General of the Radio” — this morning on-air to talk about his office and to extend Fourth of July greetings to the community.
