GORDON COUNTY – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 136 and Corinth Road, according to preliminary findings from the Georgia State Patrol.
The incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on July 17, 2025. Authorities say a Lincoln Aviator was traveling north on Corinth Road and stopped at the intersection’s stop sign. However, the driver failed to yield and pulled into the path of an oncoming Ford F-550 that was traveling eastbound on Highway 136.
The resulting collision caused the Ford F-550 to leave the roadway and overturn, coming to rest on its roof.
Both drivers were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash caused at least one lane of Hwy. 136 to be blocked for approximately one hour as emergency crews responded and cleared the scene.
