Qualifying Dates Announced for Calhoun Municipal Elections

CALHOUN, Ga. — The City of Calhoun has officially announced qualifying dates for its upcoming municipal elections, with prospective candidates invited to submit their notice of candidacy from Monday, August 18, through Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Voters will have the opportunity to elect representatives to several key local offices this election cycle, including:

  • City Council Member – Post 3

  • City Council Member – Post 4

  • School Board Member – Post 1

  • School Board Member – Post 2

  • School Board Member – Post 3

Individuals interested in running must file their qualifying paperwork in person at Calhoun City Hall, located at 226 South Wall Street, during the designated qualifying period.

Qualifying fees have been set at $252.00 for City Council positions and a symbolic $1.00 for School Board seats.
