Firefighter Aaron King Promoted to Sergeant

GORDON COUNTY, GA – Gordon County Fire Rescue has announced the promotion of Firefighter Aaron King to the rank of Sergeant. Fire Chief Heath Derryberry praised King’s professionalism, leadership skills, and dedication to public service as key factors in the decision.

“Aaron has shown unwavering dedication to the mission of Gordon County Fire Rescue,” Derryberry said. “His promotion to Sergeant is a reflection of his hard work, character, and the respect he has earned from his peers and supervisors alike. We look forward to his continued contributions in this new role.”

In his new position, Sergeant King will take on greater responsibilities in both emergency response and daily departmental operations. He will also play a vital role in training, mentoring, and supporting fellow firefighters while continuing to serve the citizens of Gordon County.
