CALHOUN – At Monday night’s Board of Education meeting, Gordon County Schools recognized Sonoraville High School standout Jazmine Hunter for her remarkable athletic achievement this spring.

A multi-sport athlete and honors student, Hunter ended her school year on a high note in May by winning the Class 2A state championship in the Triple Jump. Her victory not only showcased her exceptional athletic talent but also her relentless dedication and hard work.

When asked if she felt pressure to win another state title in the future, Hunter’s response reflected her poise and mindset: “Pressure is a privilege.”

District leaders praised Hunter as a true representative of the Sonoraville Lady Phoenix, noting that her commitment to excellence on the track and in the classroom makes her an inspiration for students across the county.
