County Commissioners to Meet Tuesday
The Gordon County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 16, at the Judicial Building Assembly Room in Calhoun. A work session begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the regular session at 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend both portions.

Board of Elections Schedules Public Meeting
Also on Tuesday, September 16, the Gordon County Board of Elections and Registration will meet at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Board of Elections Office inside the Gordon County Courthouse, 100 S. Wall Street, Suite 1, Calhoun.

Weekend Vehicle Pursuit Ends Safely
The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office has released details of a chase that ended Saturday night in Calhoun. Deputies attempted to stop a driver wanted on local warrants on Belwood Road, but the suspect fled. The pursuit continued onto I-75, State Route 53, and South Wall Street, where deputies performed a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. The driver, a woman, briefly tried to run but was taken into custody. No injuries were reported, and no suspects remain at large.
