As the season of giving approaches, the Voluntary Action Center (VAC) Community Kitchen is gearing up for Thanksgiving and is asking the community for help. Throughout the month of October, the VAC is collecting traditional Thanksgiving food items to ensure local families can enjoy a warm holiday meal.
Requested donations include:
Canned yams
Boxed stuffing mixes
Canned pie filling (apple or pumpkin)
Boxed cornbread mix
Donations may be delivered to the VAC Kitchen or Office, located at 343 South Wall Street in Calhoun. Community members are encouraged to give what they can to help make the upcoming holiday season brighter for neighbors in need.
