AdventHealth Gordon has been officially designated a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®), recognizing the facility’s high standards in breast care and imaging.
The Edna Owens Breast Center at AdventHealth Gordon provides a full range of services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, same-day breast biopsy, and genetic testing. The center also offers breast nurse navigator services to guide patients through appointments and treatment plans in cases of breast cancer diagnosis.
This ACR designation acknowledges centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound—including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Each modality undergoes rigorous peer-review evaluations conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who assess image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs.
