    Portions of central, east central, north central, northeast, northwest, southeast, and west central Georgia.

    From 8 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
    IMPACTS
    Very cold wind chills from 5 below to 5 above zero in north Georgia and 5 to 15 above in central Georgia are expected. Avoid prolonged exposure if possible and have a safe heating source, particularly for those who may still be experiencing power outages.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

At their meeting on Tuesday night, Oct. 21, 2025, the Gordon County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation to the Calhoun-Gordon County Retired Educators Association in honor of Retired Educators Day, which will be observed on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025.
