Monday, October 27, 2025 — Gordon County, GA — A vehicle pursuit involving Calhoun Police and the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office ended late Monday morning with the successful apprehension of a female suspect.
According to officials, the incident began around 11:30 a.m. when Calhoun Police initiated a pursuit of a Kia passenger vehicle. Assistance was requested from the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office as the suspect vehicle continued westbound on State Route 53 (Rome Road).
Deputy sheriffs joined the chase and continued the pursuit toward the Gordon/Floyd County line. Near the county boundary, a deputy utilized a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver to safely bring the vehicle to a stop.
A woman, who has not yet been publicly identified, was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.
Authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the pursuit or subsequent arrest.
