Excitement is in the air as all three Gordon County high school football teams have secured their spots in the GHSA State Playoffs!
The Calhoun Yellow Jackets are set to host Lumpkin County on Friday, November 14, at Phil Reeve Stadium. The Jackets are looking to make a deep run in the postseason as they prepare for a tough matchup against the visiting Indians.
The Sonoraville Phoenix are also playoff bound and will hit the road to face Burke County on Friday, November 14. The Phoenix have shown resilience throughout the season and are ready to battle it out in hopes of advancing to the next round.
Meanwhile, the Gordon Central Warriors have earned their place in the State Playoffs and will travel to Monticello, GA, to take on the Jasper County Hurricanes at Hurricane Field on Friday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m.
