Georgia Trend magazine has named Dr. Heidi Popham, president of Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC), to its 2025 list of the 500 Most Influential Georgians.
This is the fourth year Dr. Popham has been recognized in the annual publication, which highlights leaders whose work significantly shapes industries, organizations, and communities across the state. Dr. Popham was appointed president of GNTC by the State Board of the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) in 2019 and has served the college for three decades.
Under her leadership, GNTC has reported continued growth and strengthened regional engagement. “Georgia Northwestern Technical College experienced another outstanding year, marked by increases in enrollment, strengthened community partnerships and enhanced student support services,” Dr. Popham said, noting that the institution’s progress reflects the dedication of its faculty, staff, and community partners.
