Mrs. Bertha Elaine Hinely Greeson, age 73 of Resaca, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at her home.
Mrs. Greeson was born in Savannah, Georgia, on October 13th, 1952, to the late Homer Hinely and the late Ruby Daley Hinely. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepson, Kevin Greeson. Mrs. Greeson spent her career working in the textile industry and retired from Mannington Carpet. She loved to shop, decorate her home, cook, and most of all, spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended Resaca Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Robert “Bob” Greeson; five children, Tiffany Collins, Debbie Shaffer (Stan), Donna Mortz (Gene), Gene Greeson (Sarah), and Eddie Greeson; three grandchildren, Brittney Young (Brett), Courtney Collins (Matthew Brown), and Britan Collins; four great-grandchildren, Ashelynn, Jadelynn, Kaiden, and Mateo; numerous extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at 12 PM in the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers include Matt Brown, Brett Young, Michael Edwards, and Dean Hinely.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 10th, from 5 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
