Calhoun City Schools to Host Second Annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday

Calhoun City Schools will hold its second annual Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Calhoun this Tuesday, offering a communitywide celebration in honor of local veterans and their service to the nation.

Festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. at BB&T Park with performances by the Calhoun Primary School and Calhoun Elementary School chorus groups. At 1:00 p.m., the Calhoun High School Chorus will present a special performance in front of the Gordon County Courthouse.

Parade lineup for participants will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Calhoun High School track, with the parade stepping off at 1:30 p.m. and proceeding through the downtown area.

Calhoun City Schools continues to welcome veterans who wish to take part. Participants may walk, ride, or join an established group. Veterans interested in joining the parade may register at: https://forms.gle/okLHdExbnGGg2F4v9.

Residents are encouraged to attend, line the streets, and show their appreciation as the community honors the courage, sacrifice, and service of local veterans.
