Partial SNAP Benefits to Be Issued to Eligible Georgians in November
The Georgia Department of Human Services will issue partial SNAP benefits this month following new federal directives. Households whose issuance dates have already passed will receive benefits by November 11, while others follow their normal schedule. Recipients will receive up to 65 percent of their usual benefit amount, and DHS is urging households to protect their EBT cards by using security features available through the ConnectEBT app and website.

Calhoun City Schools to Host Second Annual Veterans Day Parade Tuesday
Calhoun City Schools will host its second annual Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday in Downtown Calhoun. Festivities begin at 12:30 p.m. at BB&T Park with student chorus performances, followed by the Calhoun High School Chorus at the courthouse at 1:00 p.m. Parade lineup starts at 1:00 p.m. at the CHS track, with step-off at 1:30 p.m. Veterans are invited to participate through online registration, and residents are encouraged to attend and show their support.
