Full SNAP Benefits to Be Issued to Eligible Georgians Following Federal Action

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that all eligible Georgians will receive their full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November, following new federal directives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The update comes after the final passage and signing of the federal government funding package on Monday.

According to DHS, SNAP recipients who have already received only a portion of their benefits this month will receive the remaining amount by Tuesday, Nov. 18. All others will receive their full November benefits on their regular distribution dates for the rest of the month.

Officials are also urging SNAP recipients to take steps to protect their benefits. The agency recommends locking EBT cards between purchases to help prevent unauthorized use. Cards can be locked or unlocked using the “lock my card everywhere” feature in the ConnectEBT app, available on both Apple and Android devices. Those unable to access the app can use the ConnectEBT website to manage their card and view balances.
