A festive glow lit up the night sky in Calhoun as AdventHealth Gordon held its inaugural rooftop Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday evening. Despite the chilly weather, staff members gathered outside the hospital to celebrate the beginning of what leaders hope will become a cherished annual tradition for both the facility and the community.
The new rooftop Christmas tree was illuminated for the first time, symbolizing a season of hope, comfort, and compassion. Hospital staff shared that the tree is meant to serve as a reminder to “let your heart be light” and to inspire everyone—patients, caregivers, and visitors alike—to be a light for others during difficult times.
