Sheriff Recognizes Outstanding Employees

Sheriff Mitch Ralston recognized several members of his staff this week for outstanding service during 2025, highlighting their dedication and contributions to the community.

Those recognized included Jailor P.L. Beavers, named Jailor of the Year; Deputy Case Collins, Judicial Deputy of the Year; and Detective Garrett Saylors, Detective of the Year. SFC Bobby Garcia received a Certificate and Medal of Commendation for fugitive apprehension and burglary arrests. Ms. Amy Ivey was honored with the Sheriff’s Extra Mile Award.

Additional recognitions went to Mr. Gary Sutherland, named Civilian Employee of the Year; Deputy A.J. Mills, Enforcement Deputy of the Year; and Deputy Matthew Flippen, who received a Certificate of Commendation for fugitive apprehension.

Sheriff Ralston praised the honorees, saying, “I’m very proud of each one of these employees and sincerely appreciate all of their hard work and devotion to duty. They all do a wonderful job serving our community.”

The recognitions reflect the sheriff’s office’s commitment to professionalism, service, and public safety throughout the past year.
