Kayla Davis has been named the 2025 Gordon County Parks & Recreation Department (GCP&R) Volunteer Coach of the Year in recognition of her dedication and positive impact on local youth athletics.
According to GCP&R officials, Davis’ passion for coaching and commitment to her players help foster an environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of sportsmanship and teamwork while developing their skills.
“Kayla’s passion and dedication helps to create a positive environment for her teams to learn how to play the game the right way,” GCP&R said in a statement. “Kayla has coached several sports for our recreation department over the years, and we thank her for the time, energy and heart that she pours into the children in our community. Her impact on our programs and athletes are what recreation sports are all about.”
Davis has volunteered her time across multiple recreational sports, consistently emphasizing encouragement, discipline and a love for the game. Her efforts have made a lasting difference for both her athletes and the broader Gordon County community.
GCP&R officials expressed their appreciation for Davis’ continued service and congratulated her on the well-deserved honor.
