Debora Lugene Grizzle
November 18, 1954 - January 16, 2026

Mrs. Debora Lugene “Debbie” Grizzle, age 71, of Sugar Valley, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, January 16, 2026, at her home.

Debbie was born November 18, 1954, in Delta, Colorado, a daughter of the late Grant Collins and Marguerite Trout Hanlon.  She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Ray Martin, and a sister-in-law, Susan Smith.

Debbie was a member of Russell Hill Baptist Church in Sugar Valley, Georgia.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Ricky C. Grizzle, and would have celebrated their fifty-second wedding anniversary on May 15, 2026; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey Clayton and Jennifer Grizzle of Sugar Valley, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Flavio Apodaca and granddaughter, Katie Apodaca all of Chatsworth, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tim Grizzle of Dalton, GA, Carol Ann Adams of Kokomo, IN, and Juanita and Terry Epperson of Dalton, GA; several nieces, nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Debora Lugene “Debbie” Grizzle will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Russell Hill Baptist Church in Sugar Valley, Georgia, with Reverend Joe Hall officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with her family and close friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. the church until the service hour.
