The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a potential winter storm that could impact Northwest Georgia this weekend, bringing the possibility of substantial snow and/or ice to the area.

Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston said he and senior staff with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office are closely monitoring the evolving weather conditions and are actively making preparations for any severe weather scenarios that may develop.
