Members of the Calhoun Electric Department are heading to Holly Springs, Mississippi, under a mutual aid agreement to assist with power restoration efforts following severe winter weather.
City officials said Calhoun was fortunate to avoid significant damage from the storm, allowing electric crews to be deployed to help a neighboring community in need. The crews will work alongside other utility providers to restore electricity to affected residents as quickly and safely as possible.
