City of Calhoun Hiring Terminal Operator for Police Department

The City of Calhoun is now accepting applications for a Terminal Operator position within the Calhoun Police Department.

The Terminal Operator plays a vital role in daily police operations, serving as a key point of communication between officers, other law enforcement agencies, and the public. Duties include answering multiple phone lines, monitoring radio traffic, and maintaining accurate and confidential criminal justice information within the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) system. Responsibilities also include running background checks, driver and vehicle records, and ensuring all GCIC/NCIC-related data is securely organized and maintained.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid Georgia driver’s license, and have no felony arrest record. Strong office skills are required, along with excellent communication and customer service abilities. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
