The Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration has announced qualifying details for local offices that will be on the ballot during the 2026 election cycle.
Candidate qualifying will take place at the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office, located at 100 S. Wall Street, Suite 1, in Calhoun. Qualifying will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will close at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, March 6, 2026.
Both the Democratic and Republican parties will be present at the Elections Office to qualify candidates during the following times:

Monday, March 2 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday, March 3 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wednesday, March 4 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, March 5 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday, March 6 – 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The General Primary/Nonpartisan Election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The General Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026.
