Republican U.S. Senate candidate Derek Dooley will be joined by Governor Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp for a Northwest Georgia swing this week, with a featured stop in Calhoun.
Dooley’s “Georgia First Tour” is scheduled to make a Wednesday appearance in Calhoun, where the candidate and the Kemps will host a meet and greet at Cassie’s On Wall Street. The event is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. and is expected to draw supporters and local residents for an opportunity to hear directly from the campaign.
The Calhoun visit is part of a broader tour through Northwest Georgia, with additional stops planned for Thursday, April 16, in both Whitfield and Murray counties.
In Whitfield County, a meet and greet breakfast will take place at 8 a.m. at Carpets of Dalton, located at 2942 North Dug Gap Road in Dalton.
Later that morning, the tour will continue in Murray County with another meet and greet scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at Shooter’s Golf Lounge, located at 108 North Second Avenue in Chatsworth.
The multi-stop tour comes as Dooley continues to campaign across the state, highlighting his platform and engaging with voters ahead of the upcoming election cycle. Governor Kemp’s presence on the tour underscores support from established Republican leadership as Dooley seeks to build momentum in key regions of Georgia.
