Pet owners across Gordon County will have an opportunity to protect their animals at a low cost this weekend as the Gordon County 4-H hosts its Annual Drive-Through Rabies Clinic on Saturday, May 9.

The event, held in partnership with the Animal Hospital of Gordon County, will offer rabies vaccinations for just $15 per pet. The clinic is designed as a convenient drive-through service, allowing residents to keep their pets in their vehicles while receiving care.

The clinic will make several stops throughout the county:

  • Gordon County UGA Extension Office: 8:00 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Tolbert Elementary School: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Red Bud Elementary School: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
  • Fairmount Elementary School: 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
  • Belwood Elementary School: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

In addition to rabies shots, a variety of other vaccinations and pet care packages for both dogs and cats will be available at an additional cost. Vouchers for future services, including exams and heartworm testing, will also be offered.

Organizers emphasize the importance of keeping pets vaccinated against rabies, not only for animal health but also for public safety.

For more information about available services, pricing, or vouchers, residents are encouraged to review the event flyer or contact the Gordon County UGA Extension Office at 706-629-8685 or by email at [email protected].

The event will be held rain or shine.
