Lynn Thomas Richardson, age 74, of Calhoun passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Advent Health Gordon.
Lynn was born on January 30, 1952, in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, son of the late William Thomas Richardson and Eva Louise Tate Richardson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by: his grandparents, Henry Grady Tate and Ada Tate: F.J. Richardson and Lovita Thomas Richardson; step grandmother Beatrice Holmes Richardson; and a niece, Leah Kathryn Terrill. Lynn attended North Georgia College and State University where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's of Education degrees. He then continued his education, earning an additional degree in Computer Science. Prior to his retirement, Lynn worked as an educator for the Gordon County School System, as well as for Poly Pac, now known as Huntsman Packaging. He was the primary caregiver for his mother, Eva Tate Richardson before she passed. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.
Lynn is survived by: his brother, Lawrence Richardson; sister, Linda Terrill and her husband Harry; two aunts, Frances Richardson Ball and Margaret Cartwright; and a host of cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1 PM until 2 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
A celebration of the life of Lynn will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Austin Stephens officiating.
