Chattanooga Area Food Bank, in partnership with Heritage Baptist Church, will host a special food distribution event later this month to assist eligible Georgia residents with free groceries and food assistance.
The distribution is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church in Calhoun. Organizers say vehicles may begin lining up at 8:45 a.m.
Eligible residents will receive a variety of grocery items, including pantry staples, fresh produce, and frozen food selections, along with additional items as supplies are available.
The event will operate in a drive-thru format, with volunteers loading food boxes directly into vehicles. No reservations or deliveries will be offered.
Organizers noted the distribution will continue while supplies last and will end once all food has been distributed.
Community members in need of assistance are encouraged to arrive early and take advantage of the event.
