Community Rallies Around Gordon County E-911 Employee and Premature Newborn

The Gordon County community is coming together to support one of its own after a Gordon County E-911 employee welcomed her daughter far earlier than expected.

Kaycee Conroy recently gave birth to her daughter, Alice Mae, who arrived prematurely weighing just 1.5 pounds. Alice is currently receiving specialized care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as she continues to grow stronger.

In response, friends, coworkers and community members have launched a donation effort to help the Conroy family with the many expenses that come with a prolonged NICU stay and frequent travel.

According to organizers, donations will help cover costs including gas and travel expenses, meals, household bills, medical and hospital expenses, baby essentials, NICU-related needs and other unexpected costs the family may face during this challenging time.

Those wishing to contribute can participate by filling a space on a donation “stork” fundraiser or by making monetary donations and gift card contributions.

Donations can be dropped off at Gordon County E-911, located at 100 Nine One One Boulevard in Calhoun.

Financial contributions may also be sent electronically through:

• Cash App: $kayceeconroy
• Venmo: @kaycee-conroy

Organizers ask donors to include “Alice Mae” in the memo section so contributions can be properly tracked.

Community members are encouraged to keep the Conroy family in their thoughts and prayers as Alice Mae continues her journey in the NICU.
