Families in Calhoun have a new place to play, as the City of Calhoun Recreation Department has officially opened a brand-new playground at Palmer Memorial Park.
City officials announced the completion of the project this week, inviting residents to bring their children out to enjoy the new recreational space. The playground features a variety of equipment designed to encourage active play, exploration, and social interaction for children of all ages.
Located at Palmer Memorial Park, 601 South River Street, the new playground is expected to serve as a gathering place for families and provide additional outdoor recreation opportunities for the community.
The addition is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance parks and recreational amenities for residents. Officials say the playground offers a fun and safe environment where children can climb, slide, and make new friends while enjoying the outdoors.
The City of Calhoun Recreation Department expressed excitement about opening the new facility and said they look forward to seeing families enjoy the playground for years to come.
Residents are encouraged to visit Palmer Memorial Park and check out the new playground, which is now open to the public.
