Tractor-Trailer Fire on I-75 in Gordon County Contained Overnight, No Injuries Reported

Gordon County Fire Rescue responded to an overnight tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 75 in Gordon County, with crews successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading beyond the trailer.

The fire occurred on I-75 South near mile marker 308, directly across from the interstate rest area. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and worked to extinguish the fire, which officials said was confined to the trailer portion of the vehicle.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Gordon County Fire Rescue was assisted by Bartow County Fire through an automatic aid response, bringing additional personnel and equipment to the scene.

The cause of the fire was not immediately released.

Motorists traveling through the area overnight may have experienced delays while firefighters worked to bring the fire under control and ensure the scene was safe.

Officials credited the quick response of firefighters from both agencies with containing the blaze and preventing further damage.
