Motorists traveling on U.S. 41 in Whitfield County should expect delays on Wednesday as road crews perform maintenance work along a section of the highway.
Weather permitting, the right northbound lane and shoulder of U.S. 41 will be closed between Thornton Avenue and Willowdale Road from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1.
The temporary closure will allow crews to repair a portion of the roadway. Drivers are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for workers and equipment operating near traffic.
Transportation officials advise motorists to expect delays, reduce their speed, and use extra caution while passing through the area until the work is completed.
