Gordon County Schools is highlighting strong student performance following the release of its 2025–2026 Georgia Milestones test results, with students exceeding state averages across several subjects and grade levels.
According to the school district, Gordon County students performed above Georgia averages in multiple areas among students scoring in the Developing Learner and above achievement categories.
In Social Studies, eighth-grade students taking the End-of-Grade assessment posted results above the state average.
Science results also showed strong performance, with both fifth- and eighth-grade students exceeding state averages on their End-of-Grade assessments.
Math was another area where Gordon County students recorded above-state results. Third, fifth, sixth and eighth-grade End-of-Grade math scores all surpassed state averages.
Students taking the Algebra I End-of-Course assessment also performed above the statewide average.
District leaders credited the results to the work taking place in classrooms throughout Gordon County and thanked both students and teachers for their dedication and effort during the school year and testing period.
The Georgia Milestones Assessment System is used to measure how well students have learned the knowledge and skills outlined in Georgia’s academic standards. The latest results provide Gordon County Schools with another measure of student progress while helping educators identify areas for continued growth.
