Calhoun Dedicates Playground in Honor of Ray M. Denmon

The City of Calhoun is honoring longtime public servant Ray M. Denmon for more than two decades of service to the community.

The mayor, Calhoun City Council and Recreation Department unveiled the Ray M. Denmon Playground Dedication plaque this week, recognizing Denmon’s 22 years of service on the City Council and his lifelong commitment to the Calhoun community.

City officials said the dedication serves as a lasting recognition of Denmon’s years of leadership and service to Calhoun and its residents.

The newly unveiled plaque bears Denmon’s name at the playground, ensuring his contributions to the city will be remembered by families and future generations who enjoy the recreation area.
