The Atlanta Braves continue their September schedule Thursday afternoon when they take the field against the Tampa Bay Rays at Truist Park.
Atlanta enters the matchup with an 85-61 overall record and will once again have the advantage of playing at home, where the Braves have put together a 48-26 record this season.
The Rays arrive with an 87-58 record and a 40-33 mark on the road, putting two of baseball’s top teams on the field for the Thursday afternoon matchup.
With only a few weeks remaining in the regular season, the Braves are looking to make every opportunity count. Atlanta has already secured 85 victories this season and will look to continue adding to that total as the race toward the postseason intensifies.
The Braves have relied on their strong play at Truist Park throughout the year, and Thursday will provide another chance to take advantage of the home crowd. Tampa Bay, however, has shown it can win on the road and will present another difficult challenge for Atlanta.
First pitch between the Rays and Braves is scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Truist Park.
Braves fans can follow the game from the pregame show through the final out on Georgia 101.7 FM WJTH. Airtime is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
