Dalton (3-0) vs. Calhoun — 7:30 p.m.
Freshman quarterback Hudson Ruppert was one of the state’s standout performers last week: 24-of-34 passing for 356 yards and five touchdowns, plus 59 rushing yards and another score in Dalton’s 50-14 win at Heritage. Dalton is averaging 40 points through three games. The current Maxwell computer projection makes Dalton a narrow three-point favorite, which tells you how much more demanding this test should be.

Dade finally got its first win last week, 21-20 at Temple, with Win Garmany throwing for 277 yards and the winning touchdown with 1:35 remaining. Trion bounced back from its Model loss by beating Ridgeland 38-17. Trion has won the last seven meetings, including 28-6 last season.
Christian Heritage at Chestatee — 7:30 p.m.
Charlie Baxter produced one of Georgia’s best Week 3 stat lines: 18-of-23 for 308 yards and three touchdowns, plus 98 rushing yards and three more scores on four carries in the Lions’ win over Pepperell. That is six total touchdowns on 27 offensive touches.
