Gordon County Schools is partnering with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to help local families in need through a Community Food Distribution event scheduled for Saturday, November 14, in Calhoun.
The food distribution will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Gordon County Schools Central Office, located at 7300 Fairmount Highway SE in Calhoun.
Eligible Georgia residents will have an opportunity to receive a variety of groceries to help support their households. Eligibility will be determined based on income and household size.
Organizers encourage families planning to participate to arrive early, as food supplies are limited and are expected to run out.
The event is part of an ongoing effort to provide food assistance to families facing financial challenges and help ensure residents have access to essential groceries.
