The Atlanta Braves open a three-game series on the road Monday night as they square off with the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
Atlanta enters the opener with a 74-50 record, while Minnesota comes in at 60-65. The Braves have gone 32-27 away from home this season, while the Twins are 32-31 on their home field.
The Braves are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. Matt Olson provided one of the biggest swings of the game with his 36th home run of the season, a three-run shot that helped Atlanta finish the weekend with a win.
Atlanta turns to Martín Pérez for Monday’s opener. The veteran left-hander enters at 8-6 with a 2.96 ERA and has not allowed a run over his last 18 innings. Minnesota will counter with Bailey Ober, who is 7-4 with a 4.64 ERA.
The Twins will be looking to turn things around after dropping three consecutive games and being swept by Philadelphia, while Atlanta will try to carry the momentum from Sunday’s victory into the opening game of the series.
First pitch is set for 7:40 p.m. Monday night in Minneapolis. Tune in for Atlanta Braves baseball beginning with airtime at 6:25 p.m. on Georgia 101.7 FM WJTH.
