The Atlanta Braves begin the September portion of their schedule Tuesday night with the opening game of a three-game series against the Washington Nationals.
Atlanta carries an 82-56 record into the matchup, while Washington enters at 66-74. The Braves will be looking to open the series with a victory as the regular season heads into its final month.
Tuesday’s contest is the first of three straight between Atlanta and Washington, giving the Braves an opportunity to establish the tone for the series before the teams meet again Wednesday and Thursday.
