The Atlanta Braves begin another weekend of baseball at home Friday as they face the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 1 of a three-game series.
Atlanta enters the matchup at 73-48 overall and has made its home ballpark a difficult place for opponents this season. The Braves are 41-21 at home entering Friday night.
The Diamondbacks come into the series with a 64-58 record. Arizona has been just under the .500 mark on the road at 28-31 and will be looking to change that against a Braves club that has enjoyed plenty of success in front of its home crowd.
Friday’s matchup begins a three-game weekend set, with both teams looking to make an early statement in the series.
