Gordon Central will be looking for its first victory of the 2026 season Friday night when the Warriors welcome Coosa for a non-region matchup.
Both teams enter the Sept. 4 contest with 0-1 records, giving each an opportunity to get into the win column as the young season continues.
Gordon Central will have the advantage of playing in front of its home crowd as the Warriors try to bounce back from their season-opening loss. Coosa will make the trip looking to do the same and pick up its first victory of the year.
While Friday night’s matchup will not count toward the region standings, it gives both teams another opportunity to make improvements and build momentum before the heart of the season arrives.
Kickoff between Gordon Central and Coosa is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday.
