Adairsville Police Make Arrest in Felony Theft Investigation

The Adairsville Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a felony theft investigation involving a local business.

According to police, officers took a felony theft report on Jan. 10, 2026, after items valued at more than $8,000 were reported stolen. Detectives launched an investigation and obtained a search warrant for a residence located in Gordon County.

On Jan. 23, 2026, Adairsville Police detectives, assisted by the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant and arrested 61-year-old Gary Lee Ranow in connection with the theft.

During the execution of the warrant, detectives also recovered stolen property linked to a separate theft case that occurred within the City of Adairsville in 2025.
