AdventHealth Georgia Hosts Pickleball for Breast Cancer Awareness Event

CALHOUN, GA — AdventHealth Georgia’s Cancer Care team is serving up a community event with a purpose this October. On Sunday, October 12, residents are invited to Pickleball for Breast Cancer Awareness at Pickleball 706 in Calhoun. The event is free and open to the public, offering a mix of fun, fitness, and fellowship in support of breast cancer awareness.

Attendees can look forward to a day full of activities, including open play, instruction, prizes, raffles, and giveaways. Food will be provided by CiCi’s Pizza, and all pickleball participants will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Equipment will also be available on-site, making it easy for both newcomers and experienced players to join in.

  • 12:00–3:30 p.m. | Open play and instruction

  • 1:00 p.m. | Hats Off to Breast Cancer Health

  • 2:00 p.m. | Honor Survivors

  • 3:30 p.m. | Exhibition match featuring professionally ranked pickleball players

  • 4:00–6:00 p.m. | Open play and instruction continues

Organizers encourage anyone planning to participate to wear athletic shoes. Beyond the courts, the event provides a chance for the Northwest Georgia community to show support, celebrate survivors, and help raise awareness about breast cancer.
