AdventHealth Gordon has recognized dietary team member Brandi Starr as a recipient of the hospital’s SonShine Award, honoring her compassion, kindness and commitment to serving others.
According to AdventHealth Gordon, Starr was nominated by fellow team members who described her as a bright light throughout the hospital and a caring presence for patients, visitors and staff.
In the nominations, coworkers said Starr consistently demonstrates the healing ministry of Christ through her daily interactions. They noted that she makes a point to greet others with a smile, ask how they are doing and look for opportunities to lend a helping hand.
One nominator said Starr speaks to everyone she passes and regularly asks how she can help, while another said her kindness and contagious positivity help make others feel valued and supported each day.
Hospital officials said Starr’s warm smile, thoughtful words and positive spirit have made a lasting impact across the hospital community.
