AdventHealth Gordon, in partnership with local city and county public safety agencies, will conduct a hazardous materials (Hazmat) preparedness drill on Thursday, September 3, from approximately 9 a.m. to noon.

This routine exercise is part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to emergency preparedness and community safety. The drill will take place on the AdventHealth Gordon campus and will involve participation from local fire departments, law enforcement agencies and emergency medical services.

During the exercise, residents and visitors may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles, including fire apparatus, police vehicles and ambulances in and around the hospital campus. This activity is part of a planned training exercise, and the public should not be alarmed.

The drill is designed to test emergency response procedures, strengthen coordination among community partners and help ensure the highest level of preparedness in the event of a real-world hazardous materials incident.

Hospital operations and patient care services will continue as normal throughout the exercise.
