AdventHealth Gordon is inviting community members and team members to help save lives by participating in an upcoming blood drive on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at AdventHealth Gordon. The event will provide an opportunity for donors to make a meaningful impact on patients in need throughout the region.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires blood, making donations a critical part of ensuring hospitals and health care providers can meet ongoing patient needs. Blood donations support individuals undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, trauma care and treatment for chronic illnesses.
“Blood donations play a vital role in helping us care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments,” said Lynn Janzen, director of laboratory services. “By donating blood, community members have the opportunity to make a direct and lasting difference in the lives of others. We are grateful for everyone who chooses to give.”
