Calhoun, GA — AdventHealth Gordon will host a free lung cancer screening event on National Lung Cancer Screening Day, Saturday, Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the AdventHealth Harris Radiation Therapy Center.
The event is open to community members without insurance coverage who meet eligibility criteria, providing a vital opportunity for early detection of lung cancer — the leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
AdventHealth Gordon is recognized by the American College of Radiology (ACR) as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center, a distinction that underscores the hospital’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in diagnostic care. Eligibility requirements for the free screening include:
Adults aged 50 to 77
A 20-pack-year smoking history
