AdventHealth Medical Group has announced the opening of AdventHealth Medical Group Chiropractic Medicine at Calhoun, expanding access to whole-person care for the local community. The new clinic welcomes chiropractor Chris Nelson, DC, to its team.
Dr. Nelson specializes in active release technique and Graston therapy, along with both instrument-assisted and manual chiropractic adjustments. The addition of chiropractic services reflects AdventHealth Medical Group’s ongoing commitment to providing convenient, comprehensive care that supports patients’ health, mobility and overall well-being close to home.
Dr. Nelson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master of Sports Medicine from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Georgia in Athens. He is dedicated to helping patients improve function and quality of life through personalized, compassionate care.
His areas of focus include treatment for back and neck pain, posture and functional movement issues, headaches, sciatica, joint pain, arthritis and whiplash. Dr. Nelson works collaboratively with patients and a multidisciplinary care team to help achieve individual treatment goals and support long-term wellness.
