GORDON COUNTY, GA – Deputy sheriffs and first responders are on the scene of a fatal accident reported at a commercial (private) property near the intersection of US 41 and SR 225.

Authorities have confirmed one fatality in connection with the incident, which involved a motor vehicle.

Emergency crews remain on site as the investigation continues. No further details have been released at this time, including the identity of the victim.

The Gordon County Coroner’s Office confirms that Jonathan Silvers, 29, of Oakman, Georgia, was killed in an accident at a commercial property on North Highway 41 in Calhoun on August 19, 2025. The Coroner’s office is coordinating with the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The Coroner’s office wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. Silvers.
